Coop Property Managers
Does anyone have a good recommendation for a management co for a 25-unit coop in Boerum Hill? We’ve got a relatively small percentage of actively involved owners and now I feel like we’re spending as much time managing our managers as managing the building.
We need someone who is good with billing and finances, primarily, but also proactive in helping us identify and solve problems as we’re all relatively inexperienced property owners. We’ve also had some serious financial issues this year (due in part to mismanagement by our Goldin rep from 2008-2010).
Excel Bradshaw Management Group, http://www.ebmg.com. They have a lot in the area around your size.
My 38 unit co-op in Bushwick just signed on with New Bedford. It’s still early but we are dealing with financial issues and wanting to be proactive like you are saying.
So far they are working out really well. I couldn’t be happier but I can’t give a great picture until after a year. That being said, they seem to have a high quality staff and though they were a little more then others, they seem way more competent.
good luck but really, give them a call.

we’ve used Bill Harra from ABC Management. He’s incredibly responsive and was very efficient in dealing with a host of issue of our 22-unit coop bld in downtown Manhattan. It’s worthwhile to google him and find out if he would do brooklyn. Also, he’s incredibly cost effective.
We have cooper square and it really matter who the actual property manager is. They have done pretty good but us but just like with any management, there are miscommunications but Cooper Square is the largest company and has a lot of pull with good vendors, which is important for us.
Another people I interviewed and like is Esquire Management. There are small and I really liked the owner when we spoke. Seemed like a standup guy. You might want to check them out as well.
would you mind sharing who at golden you ar deeling with .or more of what their like.I here cooper square is very bad , depending on your building and who you get as a pointperson.Has golden done anything dishonest?
NYC Property Care, our building is too small for them, but I was very impressed with them and wish they would take us as clients.
