Marble mantels

I am looking for marble mantels for a house in Fort Greene I am renovating. I am wondering if anyone in the Brownstoner community has any to sell or know of somebody who does? Thanks so much for the help.

I have contacted this French guy at charchitecturalantiques@gmail.com and was really impressed and amazed by the quality of his inventory. He has a number of simple mantels but also very elaborate and highly carved marble pieces that I have never seen anywhere else. And his prices are very reasonable compared to the other people mentioned above. Thanks for the recommendation!

Call Manny – he does have elaborate mantels in inventory last time I was there probably a month ago. The more elaborate obviously the more expensive but he does have some very ornate marble mantels. I just had him do 2 fireplaces in my brownstone and they’re beautiful. I fully recommend him. Manny LaSalle (917) 292-1825

There is a French guy located in Clinton Hill who only has very nice and fancy marble mantles similar to the mantles available at Olde Good Things or the Demolition Depot He sells them at a fraction of their prices though. Email him at charchitecturalantiques@gmail.com

I would certainly start with Manny. And if he doesn’t have it he may be able to get it for you. Other sources are Build It Green, an outdoor yard in Red Hook and another under the elevated train in Gowanus, and Eddie Hibbert’s salvage on Greene Avenue in Clinton Hill. If you’re looking for really fancy, you could try online and farther afield, but then you are looking at crazy $$$$.
