What is sewer drain liner?

A sewer liner is a fiberglass and epoxy resin tube that is placed into a damaged sewer pipe.

bob, i’d be guessing if i told you the reason why they outlawed this process. Read what colonial says – it sounds like he can speak from experience.

Mine had one. It’s a great way to turn a 6” pipe into a 4” pipe. It’ll get smaller when the roots make their way in too. I can’t believe people actually do this.

But then how would you get any liner through a collapsed sewer line?

Why is that Steve? I’ve never heard of a sewer liner, but it seems like it could be an economical fix.

The most important information to convey to new yorkers is not what a sewer drain liner is but that lining a sewer drain is illegal in nyc.
