After a pandemic delay, the third Brooklyn Heights Designer Showhouse will debut this month. Designers are busy putting finishing touches on the Greek Revival townhouse at 145 Columbia Heights before the transformed spaces are unveiled to the public on September 23.

The showhouse serves as a fundraiser for the Brooklyn Heights Association, which helped to create the city’s first landmark district, is advocating for the neighborhood during the BQE repair debate and is working to bring small businesses to Montague Street. The biennial showhouse replaced the annual Brooklyn Heights house tour, which ended in 2016 after 31 years.

Harry Heissmann is the Honorary Design Chair and Ellen Hamilton and Erika Belsey Worth are showhouse co-chairs. This year’s house is 26 feet wide and “seamlessly blends old-world architecture with modern luxury,” including a fifth-floor addition with city and water views, according to the event organizers.

This year’s designers include Antonino Buzzetta Design, Antônio Deloatch, Baxt | Ingui Architects, Brooklyn Heights Gardens, Chused & Co, Circa22 Design Studio, Collyer’s Mansion, JDK Interiors, Jessica Stambaugh, KD Reid with Bo Concept, Laurie Blumenfeld Design, Meagan Camp Interiors, Melinda K Design, Nigel Rollings, Rupp Studio, Studio Dorion, Tara McCauley Interiors and The Primary Essentials.

The event will be open to the public from Friday, September 23 through Sunday, October 30. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays through Sundays and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursdays. Mondays and Tuesdays are reserved for tour groups. General admission is $40, BHA member tickets are $35 and student tickets are $20 with a valid student ID.

A preview party will take place Wednesday, September 21 from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $350. Aspire is the showhouse Design Media Sponsor and Brownstoner is a Gold Sponsor.
