Six-Story Development Coming to Greenpoint

There’s a six-story residential development planned for 72 Box Street next to McGuinness Boulevard in northern Greenpoint, according to new building permits filed last week. Issac and Stern Architects are designing the 50-unit apartment building, which will have 35,868 square feet of residential space. It will also have 25 enclosed parking spaces and bike parking. The property, which currently houses a garage, last sold for $1,000,000 to an LLC in April, according to PropertyShark. It happens to be across the street from the Box House Hotel, the “industrial chic” hotel that opened two years ago in an industrial property at 77 Box Street. GMAP
