It’s a Gotham-like city after a 20-year drought, and the water shortage has made private toilets a luxury of the past. All restroom activity must take place in pay toilets controlled by the malevolent megacorporation Urine Good Consumption. Offenders are sent to a penal colony called “Urinetown” and never return. One day, Bobby Strong’s father is arrested for a public tinkle, sparking this dashing hero to lead a revolution. This musical, which has won three Tony Awards, makes fun of everything: greed, love, potty humor, revolution, even musicals. The fun runs from January 10 to January 26.
