Back in the Spring, there was a bunch of chatter about a new restaurant component opening up in Dutch Kills, the acclaimed LIC bar that serves high-quality, inventive cocktails. The name of the food-oriented aspect of the establishment is Blissville, and they opened up on September 6 (end of summer, as promised). About this food aspect of the place, Eater wrote, “the owners are referring to this as a pop-in, which might just be another term for ‘restaurant’ or ‘sandwich counter inside a bar.” Indeed, sandwiches make up part of the menu.

Earlier indications about the menu included a slow-roasted-pork sandwich, a build-your-own grilled cheese, and a root vegetable summer roll. Most of the food was envisioned to be “artisanal pub grub.” In the words of Blissville partner Natalie Blake, “We just want to serve food that makes our friends feel good.”

A recent menu from October 3 indicates the following dishes are served at Blissville – the grilled cheese, summer roll, and pork sandwich are all there, with the additions of baked macaroni and cheese and a cheese plate, among others. Here’s an image of the 10/3 menu (click to enlarge):
