According to the sign in their window, the newest location of local restaurant chain Spice is opening tonight at 5pm.

We spotted this sign last weekend while we were on the way to the newly opened Cyclo. More Asian food in LIC. According to Spice, they were “first established in 1997 in the upper eastside with the concept to Americanize Thai food in a place with a modern atmosphere.”

The idea of Americanized Thai sounds a bit odd to our Queens ears, as Queens is home to some of the most authentic Thai food you can find in all of NYC (see: Sirpraphai). Still, color us intrigued. We’ll be trying it out.

If you are unfamiliar with Spice, here’s a video of their Union Square location.

Are you going to check it out? Let us know what you think!
