A two-bedroom apartment on the penultimate floor of a four-story brownstone in the Expanded Stuyvesant Heights Historic District has some old-school flair as well as decent closet space.
The apartment has a good amount of original detail as well as some updates. It is mostly painted white and has wood floors, some parquet. The bedroom has a wood mantel with original tile, and the living room has patches of exposed brick.
The bathroom has some vintage interest with a clawfoot tub and period marble sink on nickel legs. The modern toilet appears to rest on what may be an original marble slab or white-painted plywood.
The small second bedroom looks suitable for an office or storage. The small, windowless kitchen has a microwave over an electric stove and wood cabinets, according to the photo, which doesn’t match the floor plan.

While there does not appear to be a dishwasher or central air, the unit has fans in the main rooms and at least four closets, according to the floor plan. There is shared laundry in the building.
The 1890s brownstone has some pretty detailing, including a blue-painted upper story, and elaborate entry and stair hall, old listings show. It contains two other apartments, and HPD says it is a three-family (although PropertyShark and an old building permit list it as a two-family).
All utilities are included in the rent, which is $2,700 a month. The broker fee is 15 percent. It’s listed by Compass agents Kunsang Mipam Thurman and Keith Arthur. Worth the outlay?
