There are plenty of interesting nooks and vistas in the other rooms too, and a kitchen with a vintage industrial feel.

All of this does not come cheap, of course, but it appears the other similarly priced units in the semi-detached brownstone have recently rented. There are three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms in this one, as well as high ceilings, mantels, wood floors and plasterwork. The building was the childhood home of Seth Low, mayor of Brooklyn and New York City and president of Columbia College. It was for sale for $40 million in 2015, when actor Matt Damon reportedly checked it out, but it appears to still be in the same hands.
