Brooklyn Real Estate Six Months Later: Two Sold
Here’s a look at four of our featured listings from six months ago, located in Brooklyn Heights, Clinton Hill, Bed Stuy and Borough Park.
Here’s a look at how four of our featured listings from six months ago fared on the market.
Starting us off, we have a move-in ready four-story Brooklyn Heights townhouse that has an offbeat configuration and an interesting pedigree. At 45 State Street, it once had dual storefronts and a pair of adjoining stables on the ground floor, with residences above. This former House of the Day changed brokers in January and is still available at a reduced price of $5.249 million, which is $726,000 below the initial asking price.
Then we have a brick corner townhouse on Greene Street in the Clinton Hill Historic District that was built in 1990 as one of a row of 11 new buildings, with Italianate-inspired facades that passed muster with the landmarks commission. This former House of the Day sold in February for $2.713 million, which is $137,000 below the initial asking price.
Following that, we have a circa-1900 semi-detached brick house with a barrel front on 11th Avenue in Borough Park that sports some original detail but needs considerable attention. This former House of the Day sold in March for $890,000, which was $5,000 below the asking price.
Wrapping it up, an aluminum-sided four-story on Pulaski Street in Bed Stuy that comes billed as “the perfect blank canvas,” with “great bones.” It’s set up with an apartment on each floor, though it’s a legal two-family, so the next owner’s going to need either a new certificate of occupancy or a new configuration. The listing for this former Open House Pick was taken down in February, but agent Morgan Munsey told Brownstoner it’s still available.
