This week, we’re looking back to Labor Day week in September to check out how four of our featured listings fared.
This Queen Anne on 9th Street in Park Slope is large and lovely, with a load of original woodwork and other details, a front garden, a rear solarium and a landscaped backyard with a koi pond. A legal three-family, it’s set up as a two-family, with four stories and 4,200 square feet of space. This former House of the Day was taken off the market in December.
Moving over to Bed Stuy, we land on a four-story brick and brownstone house on Lafayette Avenue. This one’s fully renovated, with modern kitchens and baths and restored original woodwork, including a pair of ornate carved mantels on the parlor floor. A four-story, the house holds an owner’s four-bedroom triplex and a garden rental; there’s also a finished basement with a low ceiling. This Open House Pick sold for $75,000 above ask.
Next, a renovated 1.5-bedroom co-op apartment that has a good deal of space and a terrace for under $350,000. It’s in the Philip Howard Cooperative Apartments, a 20-story tower at 1655 Flatbush Avenue in Flatlands — where amenities include an Olympic-sized swimming pool. This Co-op of the Day sold in January for ask, or $335,000.
Our last stop is in Carroll Gardens, where we find a four-story brownstone on Sackett Street between Court and Smith. Renovated, but with some details remaining, including a handful of marble mantels, it’s a legal three-family, set up as a single residence, with four large bedrooms on the top two floors. A curious point: This one apparently sold less than a year ago for $400,000 over the current ask. This Open House Pick is in contract.
