Brooklyn Real Estate Six Months Later: Three Sold, One Still Available
Here’s a look at four of our featured listings from six months ago, located in Clinton Hill, Fiske Terrace, Cobble Hill and West Midwood.

Here’s a look at how four of our featured listings from six months ago fared on the market.
The first on our list is a Clinton Hill townhouse that has what you want in an Italianate brownstone, with four large bedrooms and a beaut of a high-ceilinged parlor floor that offers graceful, detail-filled front and rear parlors. It’s at 192 Washington Avenue, off Myrtle Avenue and one block away from Pratt Institute. This former House of the Day sold in March for $2.75 million, which is $125,000 below the asking price.
Next, a Fiske Terrace Edwardian that needs some attention, but still has a lot to offer: acres of space, some prime detail, a big front porch, sunroom and garage. It’s at 776 East 18th Street in the Fiske Terrace-Midwood Park Historic District; it was designed in 1907 as part of the original Fiske Terrace development, built on what had previously been farmland. This former House of the Day is still available for $1.77 million, which is $329,000 below the initial asking price.
After that, a Cobble Hill condo studio that has towering ceilings, massive windows, a sleeping loft and a prime location. And it’s in an interesting building: the former South Brooklyn Savings Bank built in 1871 at 191 Clinton Street, at the corner of Atlantic Avenue, in the Cobble Hill Historic District. This former Condo of the Day sold in January for $711,000, which was $16,000 above the asking price.
To wrap it up, we have a single-family standalone found on Rugby Road in West Midwood, designed by the prolific early 20th century architects Slee and Bryson. It was gut renovated eight years ago, according to the listing, and is move-in ready, with new electric and plumbing. There’s plenty of space, with four bedrooms, including an expansive master with a walk-in closet and an en-suite bath, a large living room with a decorative fireplace and a dining room with a coffered ceiling. This former Open House Pick sold in December for $1.65 million, which is $175,000 above the asking price.
