This week, a look back at four of our featured listings from six months ago focuses on homes in the Columbia Waterfront District, South Midwood, Park Slope and Brooklyn Heights. How did they fare?
This three-bedroom condo in a former factory in the Columbia Waterfront District has an authentic loft vibe and deeded parking space. Historic features include 11-foot-high ceilings, wood ceilings and original thick wood columns. This former Condo of the Day sold in November for $1.415 million, which was $20,000 over the asking price.
In the Flatbush micro nabe of South Midwood, this early 20th century Colonial Revival offers room to spread out. It has a plethora of bedrooms along with a generously sized main level with period details and the bonus of off-street parking. The former House of the Day sold in December for $1.61 million, which was $15,000 over the asking price.
In South Slope, this petite house dates from the mid-19th century and has received a thoroughgoing gut renovation on the interior. Essentially only one room deep, the single-family has two floors, a cellar and a bulkhead with a terrace on the roof. The interior is completely modern and mostly white, with an attractive new stair and touches of wood. This former Open House Pick sold in October for the asking price of $1.195 million.
Located on picturesque Willow Place, this mid-19th century brick row house offers up four floors of living space along with the comfort of central air conditioning. The 1989 sale was the last time the house changed hands, and while the listing photos show an interior that looks to be well cared for, a new owner might want to make some style upgrades. This former House of the Day sold in November for $5.675 million, which was $225,000 under the asking price.
