This week, our look back at four of our featured listings from six months ago centers on homes in Crown Heights, Borough Park, Prospect Park South and Bushwick. How did they fare?
Starting off, we have this four-story limestone and brick Renaissance Revival-style row house that is sprawling, with original woodwork among other period notes. Located at 1265 Bergen Street in the Crown Heights Historic District, it’s just over a block from the Brooklyn Children’s Museum. This former House of the Day changed brokers and is still on the market for $1.895 million, which is $305,000 below the original asking price.
Next, a charming prewar co-op in Borough Park with five rooms and a generous amount of closet space. Located at 4313 9th Avenue, it’s on the third floor of a 32-unit four-story walk-up built in 1923. This former Co-op of the Day is currently off the market.
After that, there’s this standalone single-family home in the Prospect Park South Historic District that is spacious and has a number of enviable features. Located at 189 Argyle Road, it was built in 1906, designed by Slee & Bryson and has been with the same owners for over 35 years. This former House of the Day is still on the market for the reduced price of $1.95 million.
Last up, in Bushwick, there’s a brick three-story, three-family configured as a two-bedroom duplex above a one-bedroom garden-level rental. Both bedrooms in the owners unit have en suite bathrooms, one with dual vanity and adjacent walk-in closet. The owners kitchen with eat-in island leads out onto a deck above a backyard with astroturf front and rear dirt plot. This former Open House Pick sold in December for $1.205 million, which was $10,000 above the original asking price.
