Brooklyn Real Estate Six Months Later: All Four Sold
Here’s a look at four of our featured listings from six months ago, located in Ditmas Park, Flatbush, Bed Stuy and Park Slope.
Here’s a look at how four of our featured listings from six months ago fared on the market.
Starting us off this week, we have a four-story Bed Stuy brownstone that looks to be in good shape and is set up as an investment property with an apartment on each floor. It’s at 372 Jefferson Avenue, a central locale in close proximity to many a neighborhood fave, like Peaches Hot House and Eugene and Co. This former House of the Day sold in July for $2.2 million, which is $100,000 above the asking price.
Next up on our list, a Prospect Park South co-op that has charm, prewar details, a vintage kitchen and a berth on a bucolic-for-Brooklyn street with tree-lined medians. It’s at 1409 Albemarle Road, a six-story 1939 building with 29 units between Marlborough and Rugby, and within striking distance of the shops and restaurants on Cortelyou Road, the Parade Grounds and the Q/B trains at Beverly. This former Co-op of the Day sold in June for $435,000, which was $16,000 above the asking price.
After that, a Ditmas Park standalone at 520 Argyle Road that brings a lot to the table. It’s huge, for starters. It’s also beautifully renovated and in prime condition, with a new roof and new mechanicals. It’s got a driveway, a garage, central air, a humidity-control system and choice original details. This former House of the Day sold in May for $3.05 million, which was $265,000 above the asking price.
Last on our list, there’s a Park Slope townhouse whose Queen Anne/Romanesque Revival brick and terra cotta facade provides considerable curb appeal. The interior is not quite as striking, but it’s still got some nice details, including moldings, original woodwork and decorative mantels. This former Open House Pick sold in June for $3.3 million, which was $475,000 below the asking price.
