Mill Basin Standalone With Pool and Three More to See This Weekend, Starting at $1.199 Million

This weekend’s open house picks have three garages, a heated swimming pool and a number of original details between them.

This weekend’s open houses are all over a million. Three have garages, one has a swimming pool and they span the borough from Carroll Gardens all the way out to Mill Basin.

First up, in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, a semi-detached, brick Colonial Revival corner property dating to 1916 with an enviable one-car garage. The renovated, single-family home retains some period details, including limited plaster wall moldings, exposed brick, herringbone floors, a gas fireplace in the living room and, according to the listing, stained glass windows, although they’re not pictured. The en suite master bath has a double vanity, tub, and a total of six windows between two exposures. The steep, modern staircase is not for the faint of heart, and the kitchen has an eat-in island and window seat. In terms of outdoor space, the front yard wraps around to the back garden and there’s a terrace off the third-floor.

Next, in Ditmas Park, we have a 1901 standalone Colonial Revival with a one-car garage, driveway fitting three cars, enclosed front and back porches and a manicured back garden with hedges and statuary, according to the listing. There are original details in the way of inlaid parquet floors, French doors, baseboards and stained glass, although, like the property above, it is not pictured. Two of the four upstairs bedrooms have en suite baths, and a third has a restored marble sink with mirror. There’s a third-story dressing room, and both basement and attic storage, with a laundry room containing original soapstone sinks, a terrazzo-floored recreation room and vintage pool table in the former.

In Carroll Gardens, there’s a 19th century brick two-family is currently configured as a lower duplex beneath a third-floor one-bedroom. The owners unit has private access to the garden. There’s an eat-in kitchen on the garden level with exposed brick and beams throughout. At least one decorative mantel is in the home, and there’s radiant floor heating on the parlor level. According to the listing, the boiler and electric have been recently updated.

Last up, in Mill Basin, this 1960 standalone split level has an in-ground heated swimming pool, garage and quite the flashy statement bathroom. The ground floor contains the living and dining rooms and an eat-in kitchen, with the three bedrooms on the second floor. According to the listing, the master has two en suite baths.
