This week’s foursome of open house picks range from a $599,000 1930s three-family home in East Flatbush with room for improvement to a refinished standalone two-family home in Ditmas Park with two decks and a separate garage converted into an office.

First, at 515 Argyle Road, this standalone two-family home in Ditmas Park with bright green shingles and details like a coffered ceiling is looking for $1.75 million. The renovated kitchen features an island, a breakfast bar, and an eat-in sunroom facing a patio. Its garage has been converted into an office. There’s a second deck on the second floor, which also contains three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and no fewer than eight closets. The third floor is an income-producing one-bedroom with a loft converted into a combined kitchen and living room.

Also in Ditmas Park, this charming Beaux-Arts neo-Colonial brick two-family at 56 Stratford Road with five bedrooms and two bathrooms appears to be in move-in condition and has room left for cosmetic updates. It has garland details on the facade, front doors and window trim. Located just south of Prospect Park, it belongs to a little-known Flatbush micro-neighborhood with its own association called Caton Park and is asking $1.45 million.

Then in the historical Weeksville area of Crown Heights, a circa 1900 red brick two-family at 1332 Prospect Place has a bracketed and garlanded cornice, stone lintels and sills, and a modernized glass entrance. It has been recently renovated on the inside with exposed and painted brick; a new kitchen with modern cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and a breakfast bar; and an updated bathroom with a new cabinet and a mixture of stone and tiles. It’s asking $1.295 million.

Finally, in East Flatbush, this cute late 1930s single-family three-bedroom home has Tudor features on the outside and is being sold “as is.” Inside, original details such as kitchen cabinets, coved ceilings and an adorable arched tub niche in need of some TLC present plenty of opportunity, especially with the asking price of $599,000.
