Spacious Fiske Terrace Edwardian With Front Porch, Prime Details, Garage Asks $2.099 Million
This Fiske Terrace Edwardian needs some attention, but it’s got a lot to offer: acres of space, some prime detail, a big front porch, a sunroom and a garage.
This Fiske Terrace Edwardian needs some attention, but it’s got a lot to offer: acres of space, some prime detail, a big front porch, sunroom and garage. It’s at 776 East 18th Street in the Fiske Terrace-Midwood Park Historic District; it was designed in 1907 as part of the original Fiske Terrace development, built on what had previously been farmland.
There’s a surplus of square footage to play with, which encompasses seven bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and a sprawling ground floor with a living room, dining room, library, eat-in kitchen and a foyer bigger than some studio apartments.
Said foyer is quite a looker, with a coffered ceiling, mahogany door and window casings, a trio of stained glass windows, and pocket doors leading to the living room. There’s a lovely mirrored and tiled mantel in the library, and a second mantel that incorporates a pair of small leaded-glass cabinets in the dining room.
The ground floor sports original floors; the ones in the bedrooms upstairs are more recent. A vintage bathroom lover’s dream of a violet-and-black-tiled Art Deco bathroom appears to be in perfect condition, at least going by the photograph.
The bedrooms are large, not to mention long on closet space, and three on the second floor have original marble sinks.

Much of it looks to be in pretty decent shape, but some of it is not — there is obvious water damage in many of the rooms pictured. Not to mention what’s not pictured — the kitchen, for example.
On the other hand, the exterior is newly restored, and the roof and mechanicals are new according to the listing from Laura Rozos of Corcoran, who’ll be showing it at an open house this Sunday.
The ask: $2.099 million. The renovation budget: to be determined. Like what you see?
