This week, we’re taking a look back six months to see how four of our featured listings fared, including a standalone house in Bay Ridge and a co-op in Fort Greene.
Here’s a fine looking standalone house in Bay Ridge that offers some classic early 20th century features, a surplus of space and a suburban-style spread with lawn on three sides and a patio and two-car garage in the rear. It’s on a corner lot at 8525 Colonial Road, at 86th Street. This House of the Day sold in April for $2.1 million, $50,000 below ask.
Here’s a renovation project for someone looking to give a Bed Stuy townhouse a makeover. This one’s a two-family at 971 Putnam Avenue, not far from the Bushwick border. The extent of the work needed isn’t totally clear, as there’s a lot that’s not pictured. This House of the Day is in contract.
This large two-bedroom duplex co-op sits in a landmarked 1860s Fort Greene townhouse, one of a row that was converted to the Lafayette Court Apartments in 1934. There are 21 units in total; this one is at 147 Lafayette Avenue, the smallest of the buildings, and occupies the top two floors. This Co-Op of the Day sold in June for $1.655 million, $360,000 above ask.
On Lincoln Place in Crown Heights, we’ve got a flip — a three-story townhouse that’s newly gut renovated. It’s done up in a thoroughly modern style, with recessed lighting, flat-fronted gas fireplaces, pickled white-oak flooring, marble bathrooms and glossy white cabinetry in the kitchens. This Open House Pick sold in August for $2.04 million, $255,00 below ask.
