Brooklyn Real Estate Six Months Later: Three Sold, One in Contract
A look back at four of our featured listings from six months ago, located in Greenpoint, Marine Park, Bed Stuy and Park Slope.

Here’s a look at how four of our featured listings from six months ago fared on the market.
First, this Bed Stuy brownstone that has been beautifully renovated, and not by a flipper, with restored original detail, new kitchens and baths and new mechanicals. A four-story with a fetching barrel-front facade and a rebuilt L-shaped stoop, it’s at 700 Putnam Avenue, between Lewis Avenue and Malcolm X Boulevard. This former House of the Day sold in March for $2.52 million, which was $175,000 less than the asking price.
Next, a 1909 brick townhouse on one of Greenpoint’s best blocks, which has been nicely renovated and looks to be in top shape. It’s in the Greenpoint Historic District at 142 Milton Street, on a stretch filled with lovely houses. This former House of the Day entered contract in November.
After that, a two-bedroom Park Slope co-op that’s gotten a swank, elegant overhaul by the design firm BHDM and stories in Architectural Digest and Lonny. It’s on the third floor of a self-managed, eight-unit brick building at 749 Union Street, just off 5th Avenue. This former Co-op of the Day sold in December for $1.05 million, which was $55,000 over the asking price.
And wrapping it up, a freestanding early 20th century Dutch Colonial-style single-family with a gambrel roof and front lawn on Marine Parkway in Marine Park. Plenty of acreage to this one, which sits on a 3,100-square-foot lot with a driveway, a detached garage, and a backyard with an above-ground pool. This former Open House Pick sold in January for the asking price of $1.099 million.
