Brooklyn Real Estate Six Months Later: Two Sold, One in Contract, One Still Available
This week, a look back at four of our featured listings from six months ago has homes in Park Slope, Fiske Terrace and Carroll Gardens.
Entering the final month of the year, we’re once again going back and taking a look at four of our featured listings from six months ago. This week, we have homes in Park Slope, Fiske Terrace and Carroll Gardens.
We start this week with a duplex condo in a four-story townhouse just outside the Park Slope Historic District at 415 4th Street. It appears to be in excellent condition with many original details and no lack of space, but it is only a legal one-bedroom. This former Condo of the Day sold in August for the asking price of $2.25 million.
Then, in the Fiske Terrace section of the Fiske Terrace-Midwood Park Historic District, this freestanding Arts and Crafts style stucco house that could use some work but has a lot of redeeming original details. Built between 1910 and 1920, according to the designation report, 807 East 19th Street has limited photos in its listing, but highlights include a garage and a driveway. This former House of the Day is still on the market for the original asking price of $1.425 million.
After that, in Carroll Gardens, we have a three-story, three-family Anglo-Italianate brick townhouse with a few original details, including a marble mantel and tin ceilings; there is also exposed brick. Currently configured as two one-bedroom rentals over an owner’s duplex, the home could use updating but appears to be in move-in condition. After a price drop in September, this former Open House Pick entered contract in November.
Wrapping it up back in Park Slope with this narrow three-story Neo-Grec brownstone that has both updates and original details. Configured as a rental apartment over an owner’s duplex, period notes include glass-paneled wood doors in the entry, pocket doors, five decorative mantels, wooden shutters and built-ins. This former Open House Pick sold in October for $2.4 million, which was $49,000 below the original asking price.
