The most popular listings on Brownstoner this week include a mews house in Bay Ridge, a Park Slope co-op with a design mag-worthy reno and a lavish brownstone in Bed Stuy.

While there are several popular listings in Bed Stuy, the rest are scattered throughout the borough. The least expensive home of the group is a freestanding brick house in Marine Park for $789,000, and the most expensive was a Clinton Hill house built of Béton Coignet cast stone asking $3.5 million.

10. First up is a Clinton Hill house with a good deal of detail inside and out — and some interesting history. Located on Clinton Avenue at the neighborhood’s southern edge, it’s one of a group of three with a mansard roof, bay window, and carved detail out front. The house is Neo-Grec with some Second Empire touches and dates to 1872. While it looks like limestone, it is actually Béton Coignet cast stone — concrete.

The house itself is a stunner — a painstakingly restored 1895 Renaissance Revival Bed Stuy brownstone loaded with original details and exquisite Victorian-style updating. And the sale will come as a shock to many — at 538 Decatur Street, it’s the home of a couple known to many Brownstoner readers and Bed Stuy residents who are restoring or renovating houses.

8. In Park Slope is a two-bedroom co-op that’s gotten a swank, elegant overhaul by the design firm BHDM and stories in Architectural Digest and Lonny. It’s on the third floor of a self-managed, eight-unit brick building on Union Street, just off 5th Avenue. Masterminded by Dan Mazzarini, the former director of store design for Ralph Lauren, the revamp has a dramatic color scheme that’s heavy on black and white, and favors dark colors in the kitchen and bedrooms.

7. In Bed Stuy is a brownstone that’s newly and nicely gut renovated, with some original details and a classic feel. It’s on the neighborhood’s northern end, on Willoughby Avenue, between Tompkins and Throop. There’s no floor plan, but the listing tells us we’re looking at a two-family with an upper three-bedroom, two-bath duplex and a two-bedroom rental on the garden level.

The only interior photos are of the living and dining rooms, which look presentable enough, with original parquet floors.
