A Neo-Grec townhouse at 366 6th Avenue in Park Slope, a former House of the Day, offers something you don’t see every day: a sleek white laboratory-like kitchen plus some charming original details in the rest of the house. The bay-windowed brick house is narrow at 16 feet, but with four stories and a one-family setup it has no shortage of space.
The home sold for $2.925 million in June, $175,000 under its $3.1 million ask.
Situated in the Turner Towers, the Art Deco co-op building at 135 Eastern Parkway, this two-bedroom, two-bath unit — once a Condo of the Day — offers high ceilings, an elegant prewar feel and a fair amount of space, totaling around 1,300 square feet. The large eat-in kitchen needs redoing, which could be considered a negative — or an opportunity.
The apartment has been taken off the market and is no longer available. The broker was not immediately available for comment.
This circa-1905 Neo-Classical four-story, at 848 Carroll Street in Park Slope (previously a House of the Day), is a domicile of distinction, enough so that it is listed in the AIA Guide to New York City. Designed by architect William B. Greenman, it’s “a narrow bay-windowed Neo-Classical exile from the Upper East Side,” says the guide.
The property was taken off the market in June, the broker confirmed.
In Bed Stuy we’ve got a former Open House Pick, a four-story flip at 521 Greene Avenue. It’s quite a nice one, renovated top to bottom in a thoroughly modern style, with open-plan living spaces and steel-railed staircases. It offers a two-bedroom triplex (which includes a finished basement) with a three-bedroom duplex above. Formerly with Corcoran, the property is now listed for $1.989 million with Ryan Serhant of Nest Seekers International and Million Dollar Listing fame. That’s a price cut of $336,000 from its original ask of $2.325 million.
