Here’s a look at how four of our featured listings from six months ago fared on the market.
Here’s a Bed Stuy Neo-Grec brownstone that needs some refiguring, but is renovated and features some striking details. It’s at 200 Van Buren Street, between Lewis Avenue and Marcus Garvey Boulevard. This former House of the Day sold in November for $1.4 million, which is $50,000 more than the asking price.
Here’s a three-family standalone in Sheepshead Bay that needs work, but ought to polish up nicely. It’s a turreted Queen Anne with a fetching exterior at 2117 Voorhies Avenue, within short strolling distance of the neighborhood’s eponymous body of water. This former House of the Day sold in January for $1.25 million, which was $400,000 less than the asking price.
Here’s a renovated one-bedroom condo in the beloved Cobble Hill Towers, the 19th century red-brick buildings with distinctive wrought iron appointments that once served as housing for the working poor and now are coveted by a distinctly more upscale breed of buyer. This one’s on the fifth floor at 134 Baltic Street, which like the other eight buildings in the complex went condo in 2010. This former Condo of the Day sold in November for $695,000, which was $20,000 over the initial asking price.
Last up is the mystery house. This building on Pioneer Street between Coffey Park and Van Brunt Street is all about location. There are no interior photos and the only description of the home says that it is a duplex over a garden apartment. This former Open House Pick sold in October $1.075 million, which was $320,000 less than the asking price.
