This week, a look back at four of our featured listings from six months ago focuses on homes in Park Slope, Midwood Park, Kensington, and Windsor Terrace. How did they fare?
In an early 20th century flats building, this two-bedroom Park Slope co-op has a railroad layout that might not be ideal for everyone, but it boasts some period charm, a renovated kitchen, and a private roof deck. It is on the top floor of the eight-unit 483 12th Street, just a short stroll to Prospect Park. This former Co-op of the Day sold in February for the asking price of $995,000.
In the Midwood Park section of the Fiske Terrrace-Midwood Park Historic District, this circa 1904 Colonial Revival was designed by the prolific Benjamin Driesler. The single-familly standalone has had some alterations on the parlor level, but there are still some period details including an inglenook, mantels, and wood floors with inlaid borders. This former Open House Pick sold in January for $1.947 million, which was $3,000 under the asking price.
If you have some mid-century kitchen collectibles to show off, this Kensington row house has a retro “show” kitchen perfect for staging and a more practical full kitchen as well. The circa 1915 single-family row house at 324 Caton Avenue also offers the attraction of a corner location with a two-car garage. This former House of the Day sold this month for $1,999,995, which was $250,005 under the asking price.
In Windsor Terrace and just a short stroll to Prospect Park, this early 20th century brick row house got a renovation that increased the height in the English basement for more living space. Architect Laurie Lieberman was behind the 2007 work at 225 Windsor Place, which included updates to the wet rooms and a new deck. This former House of the Day sold in December for $3.075 million, which was $325,000 over the asking price.
