This week, a look back at four of our featured listings from six months ago focuses on homes in Park Slope, Bed Stuy, and Carroll Gardens. How did they fare?
While not a ton of original detail has survived, the rooms in this Park Slope two-bedroom do indeed appear to be large and light, as advertised around the turn of the last century. This former Co-op of the Day sold in January for $1.015 million, which was $16,000 over the asking price.
There are more than a few original details to admire inside this 1880s Bed Stuy brownstone, including mantels, moldings, and wood floors with inlaid borders. A new owner will likely want to give the kitchens and baths in the two-family some modern upgrades. This former House of the Day sold in January for the asking price of $1,58 million.
This Carroll Gardens 19th century brick row house is a four-family with one unit per floor. This former Open House Pick is still available.
In the Park Slope Historic District, a Neo-Grec brownstone dates to the 1880s. Set up as a single-family, it has a Henrybuilt kitchen and original details like moldings, mantels, and fretwork. This former Open House Pick sold in December for $5,742,500, which was $256,500 under the asking price.
