This week, a look back at four of our featured listings from six months ago focuses on homes in Marine Park, Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Boerum Hill and Clinton Hill. How did they fare?

For the buyer who sees the potential, this Marine Park single-family has period details, including a rumpus room, along with parking and a location near the neighborhood’s eponymous park for under the million dollar mark. It has living, dining and kitchen on the first floor and three bedrooms and the only full bath above. As is, it has a practical layout and some intact Deco-era details that the right design decisions could make sing. This former House of the Day sold in September for $760,000, which was $65,000 under the asking price.

In the Prospect Lefferts Gardens Historic District, this circa 1900 barrel-front row house has plenty of original details, including carved wood mantels with original tile, a pier mirror, window seats, and dining room with wainscoting and coffered ceiling. While it appears to be in good condition, the four-bedroom, one-bathroom single-family house has been in the same family for decades and could perhaps benefit from floor refinishing, updates to the wet rooms, and a second bathroom. This former Open House Pick sold in September for the asking price of $1.495 million.

This Boerum Hill unit is in the Ex Lax building. On the fourth floor, this particular unit’s most striking feature is its 14-foot-high vaulted, arched ceiling with cork panels. Perhaps the latter help keep the place “pin drop quiet,” according to the listing. The walls are white and the wood floors are stained a contrasting dark shade. This former Co-op of the Day entered contract in October.

Only two floors of this Carroll Gardens brownstone are depicted in the listing, but there are enough details to entice, including plasterwork, moldings and a marble mantel. On top of that, the house is 25 feet wide and on a corner, with four exposures on some floors. While the most recent certificate of occupancy, dating from 1970, lists the house as a four-family, it is currently arranged as a three-family with a lower duplex and two floor-through apartments above. This former House of the Day is still available for $7.8 million, a price cut of $950,000.
