Brooklyn Real Estate Listings Six Months Later: Three in Contract, One off the Market

This week, a look back at four of our featured listings from six months ago focuses on homes in Prospect Heights, Bay Ridge, Bed Stuy, and Park Slope. How did they fare?

For co-op hunters up for a project, this proposed combination of two units in a fine 19th century Prospect Heights flats building offers high ceilings, good light, and a spacious floor plan. The two apartments are located in the front of the top story of 673 Vanderbilt Avenue in Prospect Heights. This former Co-op of the Day entered contract in October.

In Bay Ridge, this early 20th century row house has an intact dining room with wainscoting, a plate shelf, and built-ins. This former Open House Pick entered contract in September.

An elaborate row house and one-time wreck before it was restored and updated by Australian real estate investment firm Dixon is back on the market. Located at 259 Decatur Street in the Stuyvesant Heights Historic District, the pale stone Renaissance Revival house was built in 1895. This former House of the Day entered contract in December.

A recent designer makeover has given this generously proportioned Park Slope limestone an infusion of color and pattern, adding an appealing layer to a house already rich with period detail. The location, just down the street from Prospect Park at 568 1st Street, doesn’t hurt either. This former House of the Day was taken off the market in December.
