Our picks for open houses to see this weekend include two lush with Victorian details in Bed Stuy, an extra-wide loft-style three-family in Williamsburg with a big backyard, and a single-family house in Midwood with prewar details and a garage.

In Williamsburg, this 25-foot-wide orange brick building likely started off as a six-unit tenement. Now it’s a three-family whose interiors have been opened up and brick exposed to create the feel of a loft. Configured as two floor-through apartments over a duplex, it has plywood floors, a new staircase, and modern kitchens and bathrooms. Originally one of a row, old tax photos show, it is now detached, with a large and nicely landscaped backyard. It’s asking $2.99 million.

In Bed Stuy, this Neo-Grec brownstone in the historic district dates from the 1880s and has an abundance of details worth restoring. Last sold in late 2020 by a family trust for $1.2 million to an LLC, it is now back on the market for $1.8 million. Its interior features include fanciful woodwork, mantel toppers and fretwork as well as a pier mirror, pocket doors with stained glass, inlaid wood floors, ornamental plaster, shutters and ceiling medallions. Although the listing does not come with a floor plan, the house is a two-family, according to HPD records.

Further east in Bed Stuy is another brownstone with original details, this one dating from the late 19th century and appearing to be in move-in condition. A three-family, according to PropertyShark, it’s set up as duplex over a garden apartment. Original details include woodwork, wainscoting, moldings, the staircase, stained glass, decorative plaster, encaustic tile, and a mantel in the front parlor with animal-motif tile. The kitchen and baths shown are renovated and there is recessed lighting throughout. The backyard is paved and has a deck. Located near Saratoga Park, it’s priced at $1.479 million.

In Midwood, a prewar brick single-family house has windows on three sides and a garage. Inside are arched doorways, wood floors, the original stair and stained glass. It’s set up with living, dining, kitchen and powder room on the first floor and bedrooms above. While the wet rooms have been updated, some vintage features remain, such as circa 1930s kitchen cupboards, an arched bathtub niche, and blue bathroom tile. The finished basement contains laundry and in-law unit with full bathroom and kitchen, which could pose financing challenges. The yard is paved. The house is asking $1.089 million.
