This week, we’re looking back to November of 2016 and checking in on how four of our featured listings fared on the market.
First up, we have a colorful townhouse at 321 7th Street in Park Slope with original details and a recent renovation. The brick townhouse is one of a row of four with neo-Classical brownstone detailing. The long list of original details includes marble and slate mantels, decorative plaster work, tin ceilings, original floors, and wood shutters. One of the parlors is painted red and another is painted blue. This House of the Day sold in February for $2.525 million, $123,000 below ask.
Next up, this Sunset Park two-bedroom has inlaid parquet floors, a renovated kitchen and bathroom, low maintenance charges, and a location directly across from the nearly 25-acre Sunset Park. It’s on the third floor of a five-story, 68-unit prewar building at 661 41st Street. This former Co-op of the Day sold in March for $607,000, $57,000 above ask.
This four-story 1889 Queen Anne row house with an angled front needs some work, maybe quite a bit, but it’s got some original details including moldings and a quartet of fireplace mantels, and could be turned into something nice. It sits at 17 Agate Court, a cul-de-sac off Atlantic Avenue lined with Queen Anne homes built at the same time; its houses and those on adjacent Alice Court are landmarked. This home is still available for $1.199 million, a price drop of $101,000.
In Midwood Park on East 17th Street, we’ve got a one-family on a 50-by-100-foot lot that looks to be in fine repair. The Colonial Revival house is within the Fiske Terrace-Midwood Park Historic District. It’s got four bedrooms and two baths, with an attractive sunroom facing the street and a deck in the rear. There are hardwood floors, a wood-burning fireplace in the living room, stained glass, original moldings and built-in cabinets with leaded glass. This Open House Pick sold in January for $1.475 million, $274,000 below ask.
