470-Washington-Ave-Interior.jpgWhile we’re not wild about the finishes, it’s nice to see this former boarded-up SRO at 470 Washington Avenue in Clinton Hill being reborn as a four-unit condo. Prices range from $245,000 for a 320-square-foot studio to $645,000 for a 830-square-foot top-floor two-bedroom plus balcony. How do you think these will fly?

  1. 1842 has a good point. If you are serious about buying one of these units check w/Landmarks to see if there are any violations, because if there are, and those parlor windows do look baaad, you are buying the violation along w/the apartment.

  2. Seems relatively reasonable considering the location. Not sure how the parlor floor windows passed landmarks. I assume the facade around the front door and the door will be restored soon.

  3. The iconic image of Clinton Hill used to be the brownstone with the rolldown gate at the front door. How things have changed! Only a few of these reminders of the old days left. Good riddance.

  4. Price is balanced by that low maintenance. I’d carefully check if there are any tax abatements in place, and if so, when they might expire.

Really generic looking finishes, though. That kitchen and bathroom scream rental.

  5. Stoney, you gotta love that one of the selling points of the location is its proximity to Brooklyn Flea. Personnaly, I love how the pictures on the listing for the studio are apparently of a one bedroom.

  6. I think these are really nice looking apts in a great location. I do think they are overpriced considering everything that we have seen going down. But compared to some of the new construction stuff for the same money I think these are pretty great apartments. Shave 50-100 off the price of the 2 bedroom and I bet it sells.
