Agents starting moving into Halstead’s newest Brooklyn office, at 8324 4th Avenue in Bay Ridge, last week. The 1,000-square-foot office is the firm’s ninth in the borough and will have six agents to start.

“Bay Ridge has been an increasingly strong area for Halstead, and many of its agents are neighborhood residents with a deep knowledge of the community,” a spokeswoman told Brownstoner. “It was a natural extension of Halstead’s ongoing expansion in Brooklyn” and the timing coincides with new express ferry service between Bay Ridge and Wall Street.

Agents include Bay Ridge native Peter Grazioli and longtime Bay Ridge resident Mary-Jean Gianquinto. Agents Heslin Gallagher, Brian Graham and Bernadette Mitchell have also worked in the area for years.

As property values have risen throughout Brooklyn, prominent firms such as Halstead, Compass and Nest Seekers have opened more offices in the borough, in some cases absorbing boutique firms with neighborhood expertise, such as Mary Kay Gallagher in Flatbush, which recently moved to Compass.

Halstead joins Keller Williams, Dorsa and Maguire, among others, in the neighborhood.
