This 1907 Craftsman style home at 633 East 19th Street in Midwood Park has several outstanding features you don’t see every day: An intact bathroom with original tile and pedestal sink, an unusual arched red brick wood burning fireplace, and a sleeping porch (also useful as a sun room). And it also has lots of other original detail, including wood work, stained glass, and a tiger oak and mahogany staircase.
There are also bay windows, lots of bathrooms, a deck and big yard, and a two-car garage. The 1970s kitchen could probably use some updating (or restoration). The house is located in the Fiske Terrace-Midwood Park Historic District, according to the listing. How do you like it for $1,625,000?

Methinks this is overpriced by about $200k, but the neighborhood prices are cray-cray lately, so who knows?
I agree, there is a void.
We were looking around here. We have a dog. We wanted to be within a 20 minute walk of a park where we could take the dog. Look on the map for parks east, southeast, and south of Prospect Park. There is greenery, and there are even some playgrounds like Cortelyou, or Wingate playground, but dog parks? Apparently the parks dept thinks they are only for people from the northwest corners of Brooklyn.
I don’t have kids so I wouldn’t know anything about that. There’s kids playground near bk college about 2 blocks away.
The yards are big enough to bring a lot of green into the surroundings, I’ve never really noticed that there isn’t a park nearby. Look at the street view: https://www.google.com/maps/place/633+E+19th+St,+Brooklyn,+NY+11230/@40.6350131,-73.9593719,3a,75y,163.88h,85.46t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1sdEIaHscJW0Z9PY5_Q851vQ!2e0!4m2!3m1!1s0x89c25b4a86e6cc01:0xd6f0fa3bf7290780
Perhaps the fact that most of these places have very large yards. My place has a footprint of ~900sq ft on a lot that is 3500 sq ft.
