The church at 490 Pacific Street, at 3rd Avenue (formerly Bethlehem Lutheran Church, though it’s been empty for awhile) sold to a new congregation which plans to restore the building. The buyer in question is The Temple of Restoration, headquartered currently at 515 Dean Street. A rep at the church says they are expanding, not moving. She also tells us there is a lot of interior and exterior restoration to be done. Here’s a listing for the property, [PDF], which comes with an attached townhouse on Pacific Street and two vacant lots along 3rd Avenue. The church does not plan to develop on the vacant lots. The final price for the building and lots was $5.8 million. You can see some interior pictures of the church, via the listing, after the jump. Too bad Church of the Redeemer nearby can’t have the same fate! GMAP
