Gallery Kitchen & Bath

I enthusiastically recommend Gallery and especially our project manager Eli Zikry, who did a superb job renovating our once-decrepit 2-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn Heights. The project involved a full kitchen and bathroom renovation, as well as new electrical, refinished floors, new doors, new baseboards, and some rearranged bedroom closets. We had never renovated before and were quite nervous about the process but Eli was incredible. He and his team made the process of choosing elements for our renovation extremely simple and intuitive, always offering a guiding hand when needed but also deferring to our choices. They also handled the process of getting necessary permits and co-op approvals seamlessly with negligible involvement from us. But, of course, it was when the project got going that Eli really distinguished himself. He beat the projected time frame for getting the work done by two weeks, and although our renovation in an old and neglected building presented several hiccups, he did everything in our scope of work within the agreed-upon budget. In fact, he did more: for example, when he realized that various things we hadn't discussed were going to be a possibility -- such as crown molding in the kitchen and recessed lighting in the bathroom -- he did them free of charge. What is more, when I gave him the wrong paint color for my daughter's bedroom and his team started to paint that color, he got the paint I wanted and corrected the "mistake" (which had actually been my mistake) and didn't charge me for that either. Throughout the process he was absolutely dependable, courteous and professional. I'd choose him again 100 times over and definitely recommend him to anyone considering a similar project.

Forget about any horror story you have heard about contractors. Stop right here. This is the design-build contractor you want to HIRE. It was a breeze working with Aaron and Jonathan on our apartment combination project. We looked at quite a few design-build companies and chose Gallery because of the great communication and the fact that they were able to manage material purchasing and product selection for us. With this being our first project of this kind we were originally uncertain about the "all-in" total budget approach. Aaron patiently explained it and clarified all questions we had. We are very pleased that we stayed on budget throughout the process even though the project went 6 weeks over. Gallery is not the type of contractor who will bill you for unforeseen little changes. They were honest, took responsibility and pride in their work. During the construction, we got to know all the workers and really enjoyed having them around. They were respectful and diligent. Most importantly they were very experienced and able to give good input and make decisions on the spot. We lived onsite for the second half of the project. While it was obviously messy and frustrating at times, the crew did their best to make it as easy as possible for us. We truly appreciated that. Of course, like with any project of this scope, there were hiccups, changes and delays, but our project manager Jonathan stayed on top of every problem that arose and reacted fast. We were also very happy with his kitchen design and construction advice. Overall, we are very satisfied with our choice of contractor and how the project turned out. Our 3 bed, 2 bath Scandinavian mid-century apartment gets a lot of compliments, Everyone asks for our contractor's number. RECOMMEND!

My partner and I chose Gallery for a complete renovation of our kitchen, bathroom, and hallway closet. Since we had no prior experience with an apartment renovation, we believed Gallery's full service approach would work best for us. We selected them following a lengthy phone conversation with Aaron and an impressive presentation from Peter, our outstanding project manager. Our initial confidence in them was borne out through the entire project. They deliver what they promise. Peter and the whole team, which included office administrator Colin and project foreman David, are top notch professionals. I would particularly point to the level of communication - the team was always available by phone or email or text, updated all project information to the Buildertrend website, and quickly addressed any issues that arose. With the project now complete, we are thrilled with our beautiful, modern and newly enlarged kitchen, our shiny new bathroom and our combination pantry/clothing closet. Job well done Gallery!
