Method Restoration

"My husband and I bought an early 1900's dutch colonial which still had most of the original double hung windows - and four original sets of french doors. They were gorgeous and a large part of the reason we bought the house. But they needed serious work - 100 years of paint and neglect needed to be undone! After meeting with a number of window restorers, Peter of Method Restoration stood out to us. He explained the process to us and it was clear that not only does he love his job, he probably loves our windows more than we do (which is saying a lot)! Peter and his assistant restored 30+ windows and the french doors and they look beautiful. They are truly the showpiece of the home. In fact, every time painters came to give us quotes on painting the interior of the house, they'd look at the windows and say something along the lines of, "Our work will be good, but it won't look like that!" As an aside, Peter also helped with much more than the windows - he was a trusted advisor on different parts of our renovation. And when a plasterer messed up a cornice repair, Peter had just the right recommendation for another true artist who fixed the original mistake. My husband and I can't recommend Peter highly enough."
