A premier chance to own on the Brooklyn waterfront, Quay Tower provides jetliner views of the city, New York Harbor and Brooklyn Bridge Park. It’s also the first East Coast project from Santa Monica-based interior design firm Marmol Radziner, known for its “earthy California modernism.”
The last condo development in Brooklyn Bridge Park, the 30-floor tower is designed by architect Eran Chen of ODA New York. Located at 50 Bridge Park Drive, it has 126 units and a double-height, 24-hour attended lobby. Two-bedrooms start at $1.95 million and five-bedrooms start at $5.5 million.
Agents at Douglas Elliman, who are handling sales and marketing, say the north and south lounges and outdoor roof decks on the penthouse level of the building — known as the Sunset Lounge and Sky Cabana — are garnering the most attention among potential buyers.
In addition to the rooftop, amenities abound at Quay Tower. There’s a 2,500-square-foot fitness center with TechnoGym equipment, a children’s playroom, and music practice room with a baby grand piano.
For west-facing residences, there’s direct entry into a private foyer via a dedicated high-speed elevator. There’s also a prized secondary mudroom entrance, outfitted with custom Italian cabinetry, cork wall, linen and audiovisual closets, and full-sized Whirlpool washer and vented dryer.
The Marmol Radziner-designed kitchens feature white oak cabinetry and leather-finish White Princess Quartzite countertops. Master bathrooms feature Alabastrino Rustico travertine slabs on walls and radiant-heated floors. Select three-, four-, and five-bedrooms feature Jack and Jill bathrooms with custom step stools and white Venatino marble tiled walls. Condominiums feature 8-inch-wide plank oak flooring.
These condominiums have brains too. The developers — RAL Companies & Affiliates and Oliver’s Realty Group — teamed up with retailer Amazon to outfit every unit with smart technology. If residents need help syncing their heating and cooling systems with the hands-free Amazon Echo speakers, a concierge service will be on hand to help.
For a quick 14-minute commute to Manhattan, the ferry is practically at your doorstep. The Court Street R is the nearest subway. But residents may prefer to stay home — easy to do with the 85 acres of waterfront activities Brooklyn Bridge Park has to offer.
Dining and nightlife within about one mile include Luke’s Lobster, Ample Hills Creamery, Heights Cafe, Grimaldi’s, Gran Electrica and River Café.
Occupancy begins in summer of 2019. For more information, go to the website.
