On Monday, May 6, Floor & Decor is opening its biggest store yet — more than 120,000 square feet at 850 3rd Avenue in Sunset Park in Brooklyn — and is holding a weeklong series of celebrations to mark the event.

It seems natural that a flooring retailer would choose the greater metro area to expand its footprint. After all, New York City has plenty of square footage that home buyers and sellers are looking to re-floor, not to mention plenty of residents who are staying put in a high-interest-rate market and renovating their homes instead of moving.

To announce the May 6th grand opening, there will be a week-long celebration with exclusive events and enviable deals. The events include:

Grand Opening Events 

On May 6 at noon, celebrate the grand opening with the official ribbon cutting with the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. Tour the space and enjoy complimentary treats.

On May 9 from 5 to 8 p.m., Floor & Decor welcomes valued builders, contractors, architects, designers, installers, and real estate agents to attend its free Grand Opening Industry Networking Event. Network with other industry professional and win a 2024 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van and other great prizes.

On May 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., join the Best on Block party with free pizza, coffee, dog treats, soap, and Mother’s Day Flowers. Plus, test your luck and play the “million dollar dice roll.” (Roll the dice — win up to $1 million!)
