Back in March, we noted with interest when a scaffolding went up at 940 Fulton Street, between St. James Place and Cambridge. The multi-family walk-up had long been a blight on this stretch of Fulton, and we were hoping that the group that purchased the building last year for $855,000 were gearing up to renovate the place. So we were glad to see workers gutting the windows and interiors earlier this week. In recent months the owners have gotten DOB approval to create 12 residential units in the double-wide building, in the process adding a fifth floor to create top-floor duplexes. More good news for the Washington-Classon corridor of Fulton Street!
