They have no damn taste, that’s how it happens. Duh. Place is a shitsplosion.
I take back what I wrote above. I walked past this house on my way home today. The construction fence is down, and the ground floor totally kills it.

And let’s hear it for the two adjacent front doors with faux fan lights. Love me a little neoFederal detail. Soooo Home Depot.
This place would really rock if they painted the whole facade the same shade of purple as the house next store. Or maybe that green color on the fence to provide maximum contrast.
Amzi has it exactly right. Kudos to the builders for trying to do something beautiful and not cheaping out.
Unfortunately, they ended up with 3/4 of a copy of a late 19th-century Romanesque Revival design and 1/4 of a Hasidic-Fedders-modern design.
How does this happen?
and if you don’t mind losing one or two of them as they climb over the railing. 🙂
