The Strong Place Church condo conversion hit the market last December, and at this point it’s more than 50 percent in contract or sold, according to Saul Retig, one of the brokers repping the building. Retig says that there have been four closings so far and that the goal is to close the other eight that are in contract by the 24th. Two buyers have already moved into the building. StreetEasy shows active listings for the building running from $885,000 for a 970-square-foot two bedroom to $2,100,000 for a 1,960-square-foot two bedroom. Retig says that one of the sales so far was a combination of two units, and that the configuration is available for another couple that would result in a pad that’s around 2,200 square feet, with three bedrooms and a den.

  1. I’m really happy that they converted the church instead of tearing it down. my only complaint- with that wonderful building, why make the interiors so bland and uninteresting? It could be any co-op or condo in any building. I’m sure there must have been beautiful details that with a little imagination and creativity could have been integrated into the final design. They did that with a church in my old neighborhood years ago.
