Plans to open a Red Apple supermarket in the basement of the Andrea in late summer have been pushed back to late October or early November due to construction delays, according to State Committee Member Lincoln Restler. No doubt this is a disappointment to nearby residents, as it’s been almost five years since an Associated Supermarket was razed to make way for the Andrea development. At least they can buy some basics in the meantime now that CVS is open on the ground-floor. Restler and Councilwoman Tish James will hold a job fair for local residents to secure jobs at the supermarket soon. Details should be released soon.
