The building is super ugly.
It looks exactly like what probably happened. The new builder couldn’t get the end 2 tenements to sell so he will squish his building in between. I hate it it looks so horrible.
The tenements were a part of history, they were built to house the immigrants that help build our city. I feel bad they are torn down. I liked them. But at least with the 2 end ones remaining it isn’t hard to remember what was in between.
Berenice Abbott has them photographed in her book, they were boarded up, then re- habed then boarded up again till they were torn down.
4th Ave is the new Park Ave. with KFC and Papa Johns. To keep fat Marty fat.
Rob a dirty store is a dirty store – filthy bodega’s are not cheaper than dirty ones (in fact usually its the opposite)
Rob- bodega beer is super expensive. If you really want cheap beer, get down to 3rd ave and go the beer distributor.

you sir, do not understand the definition of Riff-Raff. and those bodegas on 4th ave serve a PURPOSE. hello! some people like cheap beer and dont like over paying for cigarettes. not everyone is a yuppie 20 dollar a glass of wine drinking snob. there’s enough of those places to go around. i thought people who move to brooklyn claim to like “diversity?” oh yeah, that’s right, they are full of shi+.

Actually, 4th Ave might become an ok place to live in 5-7 years if they manage to drive off all the riffraff that occupies 4th ave currently and replace bodegas and car repair shops with trendy restaurants and shops. For 1/2 of the current insane prices obviously.
