The demolition permit still hasn’t been approved yet for the former McDonald’s at Tillary and Gold Street in Downtown Brooklyn, but the full plywood fence has gone up in recent days in anticipation that it will. The big question is, Then what? Rumor we’re hearing is that the Lalezarian family, the folks behind the BKLYN Gold residential complex across Gold Street have similar plans for this site.

  1. This is on my block. It’s bad enough that they built that monstrosity on Gold & Tillary, now this? There goes the rest of the sunlight our backyard gets.

  2. So, we’re going to see another apartment building go up here. Right across the street from a battered womens shelter? (interesting choice by the developer)

  3. A guy was out there yesterday ripping the hedges out of the ground with a pickup truck and a rope. I guess you may not need a demolition permit for that, though.
