Just the other week we saw some action at the old Cube 63 spot and wondered what was moving in. Here’s word from the owners: “The former Cube 63 will be becoming Brucie, an Italian market and restaurant.” That stretch of Court is seeing a lot of new faces: 270 Court opened (which Cobble Hill Blog wrote about), there’s another storefront papered up near Buddy’s Burritos, and Ideal Realty recently set up shop next door. Just ate there tonight, and I am charmed. There is no way this place can be compared to Sam’s, BTW. They are two totally different animals. I tried it and I’m very happy it — along with Strong Place and Local 61 — have all opened up within very short walking distance from me.
