The hotel planned for Degraw between 3rd and 4th avenues that was but a twinkle in a developer’s eyes last year is now all grown up. It’s possible that 611 Degraw will beat the nearby Fairfield Inn to the punch, opening-wise, since its website says it’s supposed to pop in March. According to the site, the place will be called Union Hotel. Click through for a few renderings of the guest rooms and the like. A call to the developer for more information about the property was not returned.

  1. They’re in Gowanus becuase the zoning allows for hotels that size and it’s next to Park Slope and Carroll, Cobble and Boerum Hill area. The only hotel option before all these came up was the expensive Marriott in downtown brooklyn. Now people actually have some cheaper options to stay closer to family and friends.
