  1. Market has to rally so we can have the hyper-inflation, which we actually sort of need.

Today on Dean street I met a very old lady who was bringing cans of food to the post office. I’m not sure why, but she was very nice. I love Dean Street. It’s my new favorite Brooklyn street.

Everyone at the Mommy and Me playgroup run by the city was a nanny. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, at all — just… it seems a little strange. This was in Bed Stuy.

I just got a bamboo sheet and it’s pretty nice.

During the blackout I walked from 29th and Park to 102 and Lex before I broke down and took a city bus. By that time it was totally dark and the lack of streetlights was kinda scary. Up in Washington Heights, the streets were lined with candles and people were playing guitars. It was extremely Kum bye ya.

  2. “where’s cobble been”

I was entertaining a dearly loved short person today. We discussed Clone Wars, Star Wars, related figures, and the merits of colored pencils vs. crayons!
