The paper has been removed from the windows of these two vacant storefronts on an otherwise-filled Henry Street, between Orange and Pineapple, revealing that the dividing wall has been removed. Neighboring Blue Pig and Busy Chef, both in troubled retail spots, removed their dividing wall not long ago, though it seems Busy Chef is the busiest. Calls to the sales agent were not returned. Does anybody know if this space is being leased as one spacious unit, which could mean a bank, or two? What do you think Henry Street needs? GMAP
It’s the Curse of Su Su’s Yum Yum and it goes way back.
Heights is a tough market for restaurants.
Noodle Pudding is PACKED every night. Good food, great service, reasonable prices…but so many others fail.
Why?
At least 95% of the posts on this site are from people who’re logged in as “guest”. This means that someone reading the comments on this site will be reading almost everything in faded type. Now, I understand why the faded type is used for “guests”. However, in my opinion it’s not worth it.
The faded type is clearly legible, but over the long haul it is more fatigue-inducing than regular, darker type. So, Mr. B, do you really want to condemn your readership to slogging through so much faded type?
Just a thought. Again, I do understand why the faded type was introduced. I just don’t think it’s worth it. You’re shooting yourself in the foot (and inducing eyestrain in your readers) as things currently stand.
Good point GHB. Heights Meat on Clark seems to do rather well, so I agree, a fresh fish place might also do the trick.
We could use a good fish store in the area. That would be a great location.
OH I KNOW !!
HOW ABOUT ANOTHER CHASE BANK!!
Both a Mexican and BBQ place failed on that block over the past five years. It’s always been a lame-duck location.
An old-school bakery might make it.
Or a small casino.

HOW ABOUT ANOTHER CHASE BANK!!
Theres a residential hall for college students two blocks away. If they do anything it should be something to lure them in.
