House of the Day: 371 Clinton Street
This cute house at 371 Clinton Street hit the market last week with a price tag of $2,695,000. It’s got a nice rustic vibe to it (sweet original wide plank floors) and lots and lots of original details (mantels, woodwork, mirrors). It’s got a nice rustic vibe to it (sweet original wide plank floors) and lots and lots of original details (mantels, woodwork, mirrors). On top of that, there’s a new kitchen that’s a little too shiny for our tastes but looks like it’s of good quality. The biggest hurdle given the not-insignificant asking price is probably the width of the house, which, according to Property Shark, is less than 17 feet. You liking it?

Exterior walls are counted in square foot calculations? Interior walls and closets I understand but outside walls: no wonder real estate agents are held in such “high” regard.
Pete does that get you to the 3400 sq ft?
sq ft of houses is measured from footprint not interior dimensions. in brooklyn, in nyc. in new york state. in the united states of america.

LOL, I could but I like it here.

Clinton Street that far north is a parking lot for most of the day. Not my cup o’ tea.
Here’s a new one….
“This home is in triple mint condition…”
What does that mean?
I think this is well done and despite the narrowness, it have a comfortable and spacious feel. Very nice. I can’t comment on the price – I don’t know where this part of town is going for these days…
I’m looking at the floorplan on the broker website which shows the interior to be 15 feet wide and the depth to be (22 plus 22 on parlor floor) 44 feet total times four floors equals 2640 square feet. Can BoerumHill tell me what I’m missing?
Went to the Open House last weekend. Very sweet home with terrific original details, but definitely felt narrow. Also, while kitchen and baths were updated, they were only ok. You could definitely sense people were ready to make offers, though.
